The Schick hybrids are currently not for sale. We have experienced demand beyond our capacity to propagate. Please check back next year to see what might be available.

Echinopsis ‘For Norma’

Ordering Information

Availability

This catalog lists Schick Echinopsis hybrids that were introduced between 1996 and 2015, with the bulk of introductions between 1996 and 2004. Most are still available, however, we are not able to propagate all varieties fast enough to keep up with demand. Therefore, we supply what we are able to upon request by e-mail to isi@huntington.org. We suggest that you supply a list of alternates if you’re willing to receive them. No minimum order.

You may specify the particular cultivars you would like or just the number of varieties if you would like us to choose for you. Feel free to mention the range of colors or other criteria you are seeking. Plants are shipped bare-root without soil. Individual plants are rooted and usually range from 1" to 2" diameter, sometimes larger, but not smaller unless you request a particular cultivar and are willing to receive a smaller but viable rooted offset or unrooted cutting.

Costs

All individual hybrids are priced at $7. CA residents add 9% sales tax. All orders are sent by Priority Mail. For shipping within CA add $7.50 minimum or $1 per plant, whichever is greater. For orders outside of CA add $13.50 minimum or $1 per plant whichever is greater.

Agricultural restrictions and fees

We are not able to ship plants to Napa or Sonoma Counties in California; Counties north of Los Angeles must include an additional $5 to cover mandatory pesticide treatment. The following states (subject to change) require an additional $20 certification fee for pest inspection by a California agricultural inspector: AL, AK, FL, ID, IN, LA, MS, NC, SC, TN, VA, WV.

Payment methods

Payment must be either by a check or money-order drawn in US dollars and payable to The Huntington through a United States bank, or by Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express. Checks are processed upon receipt. Credit card payments will usually be processed in the week prior to shipping. Orders may be sent via e-mail to isi@huntington.org. For security purposes, credit card number and expiration date may be called in to 626-405-3571 or orders may be faxed to 626-405-3501.

Processing time

Please allow 4-6 wks for processing during peak periods of spring and summer. We will do our best to process orders within this time frame, but there may be extenuating factors that could cause further delays. We will notify you if such a delay is expected.
