Plant Sales and Garden Talks

Second Thursday Free Lectures and Plant Sales

Authors and garden experts from around the world present programs to help gardeners keep current on the hottest trends in horticulture. Each lecture is followed by a sale in the Plant Sale Nursery for lecture attendees. Second Thursday lectures are free and take place in the Botanical Center.

Admission to The Huntington is not required to attend Second Thursday free lectures. For the next lecture, visit our online Calendar.

Annual Plant Sales

The Huntington also has an annual Spring Plant Sale and a Fall Plant Sale when visitors can find thousands of rare and beautiful plants, including many uncommon varieties hard to find at commercial nurseries. Knowledgeable Huntington staff and volunteers are always on hand to answer questions about plant selection and care, as well as to offer advice on other practical  gardening topics such as soil improvement, pruning and dividing, over-seeding lawns, and tackling pest problems. Many sale veterans bring a wagon or wheeled cart to carry purchases. Please visit our online Calendar for upcoming sales.
