Free Day Reservations
All non-member visitors to The Huntington on "Free Day" (the first Thursday of the month) must have a ticket.
Tickets are free and can be requested online. You may choose from two arrival times: morning (10 a.m.) or afternoon (1 p.m.) below. A limited quantity will be available the first day of each month at 9 a.m. preceding the month you wish to visit. (For example, if you wish to visit on August Free Day, you may reserve tickets beginning July 1). Please note that Free Day tickets are not available at The Huntington. You may not purchase regular admission tickets on Free Day.

Tickets are now PRINT-AT-HOME. You MUST print your bar coded tickets when completing the online registration process. Bring your PRINT-AT-HOME tickets with you on Free Day for admission. Your ticket will be scanned for entry and may not be duplicated or used for any other month. Only 5 tickets permitted per household. Those reserving more than 5 tickets will have all additional tickets invalidated at entry.
No more tickets are available for May 4 Free Day.
Tickets for June 1 Free Day will be available on May 1 at 9 a.m.
Please note due to the popularity of Free Day, tickets are typically fully reserved in several minutes. If you are not able to get tickets one month, you are welcome to try again next month.

- Nonprofit groups: Bus group tickets and parking passes may be ordered up to 3 months in advance. Call 626-405-2240 or email firstname.lastname@example.org for tickets and bus parking passes.
- School groups (K-12): If you are a school group arriving by bus, call 626-405-2272 or email school groups for tickets and bus reservations. Bus group tickets and parking passes may be ordered up to 3 months in advance.

Free Day FAQ's
Is Free Day still free? Yes. Tickets are free of charge.
Why do I need tickets if it's still free? The Huntington can only accommodate a certain number of people at a time. Because the popularity of Free Day has continued to grow to extraordinary proportions, we've found it necessary to place limits on the number of visitors admitted on the first Thursday of the month.
How do I get tickets? Tickets are available by reserving online. You may choose between a morning arrival time (between 10 a.m. and noon) or an afternoon arrival time (between 1:30 p.m. and 3 p.m.) Once reserved, PRINT YOUR BAR CODE TICKET AND BRING WITH YOU FOR ADMISSION ON FREE DAY.
How many tickets can I get? You may request up to 5 tickets.
Do infants and toddlers need tickets? Yes, all non-member visitors need a ticket for Free Day.
Can I just pay the regular admission price and come on Free Day? No. You may not purchase regular admission tickets on Free Day, and only visitors with Free Day tickets will be admitted.
I'm a Member - do I need a ticket if I want to come on Free Day? No. Members are welcome on Free Days and do not have to reserve a ticket in advance. Memberships are available for purchase and renewal on Free Days and every day.
What are Free Day hours? On Free Days, hours are 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Can I bring a picnic? Food and picnicking is not permitted on the grounds, however, there is a small area adjacent to the parking lot where you may eat food you've brought before you enter. Please visit Tea Room and Dining for other food service options.
Our group is coming in a bus. Do we need tickets? Yes. All nonprofit and K-12 school groups coming in buses must call to reserve tickets and bus parking in advance. Nonprofits, call: 626 405 2240 or email email@example.com. K-12 groups, call 626-405-2272 or email school groups. Bus group tickets and parking passes may be ordered up to 3 months in advance.
Can I make reservations for tea in the Tea Room on Free Day? Yes. Reservations are accepted on Free Days via OpenTable. Bring your OpenTable reservation confirmation to the admission windows for check-in. You do not need to reserve separate free day tickets. Walk-in seatings are also available on a first-come, first-served basis for those with free day tickets.
How often can I come? You may come as often as you have tickets.
Can we use our tickets obtained for a particular month for a different month if we can’t make it? No. You must have a ticket for the month you're visiting. Your bar code will be scanned and will not be valid any other month.
How far in advance can I get tickets? Tickets are available online on the first day of the month preceding the month you'd like to visit. For example, if you wish to visit on the July "Free Day," you may reserve tickets online beginning June 1.
Free Day ticketing has been in place since Sept. 2007.
