Led by botanical artist Lisa Pompelli, this class will focus on the rendering of trees from field sketching in the gardens and class time learning drawing techniques, observational skills, and the fundamentals of tree architecture. Capture the ever-changing moods of nature in the gardens at The Huntington in this outdoor painting class with artist Marion Eisenmann. Learn how to create an interesting composition and express what you see in your individual style while experimenting with different watercolor techniques. Open to beginners and advanced students. Yo ho ho! Celebrate National “Talk like a Pirate Day” by learning about pirates and their explorations, and get a glimpse of some pirate-related “treasures” from the Library’s collections.
