Ceramics Workshop: Clay in the Garden

Build, shape, and refine a vessel made from clay, drawing inspiration from the gardens and the exhibition, “the eight directions of the wind: Edmund de Waal at The Huntington.”
Classes
In this class, guided by artist Jenna Bonistalli, participants will build, detail, and glaze a hand-built ceramic vessel, learning the basics of stoneware and porcelain and using natural materials to detail their pieces. Participants will leave with a unique vessel inspired by The Huntington.
Key Details
- Registration includes admission to The Huntington.
- Suitable for all levels; no previous experience is necessary.
- This class is recommended for participants aged 13 and older. Participants under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
- All supplies and materials are included. Due to firing time, the class takes place on two nonconsecutive Sundays. Pick up of finished, glazed vessels will be arranged separately two weeks after the second class.
- Please bring registration confirmation with you.
- Check in with Education staff at Admission window #10 beginning at 9:30 a.m.

- Tickets are not sold at the door for this event.

- To receive a refund, you must cancel at least 5 days prior to the event. Cancellations made within 5 days of the event will not be refunded.
- Members may receive a discount for up to two tickets.
