Explore The Chinese Garden during The Huntington's regular hours. Entrance is included with general admission. English and/or Mandarin speaking docents are stationed in the garden daily to answer questions about its features. Times vary according to docent availability.

Tea House

Open
Wednesday through Monday (closed Tuesdays),
12-4 p.m., the tea house features delicious offerings such as
aromatic garlic shrimp spring rolls, Cantonese short rib soup with rice
noodles, savory barbecue chicken with satay sauce, chicken chow mein, and other delectable entrees. The tea house itself, known as the Hall of the Jade Camellia, features Ming-style furniture adding a touch of
traditional elegance to the dining experience. Stop by and enjoy a
memorable meal in an incomparable setting.

Liu Fang Yuan reflects traditional Suzhou-style scholar gardens and features a 1.5-acre lake, a complex of pavilions, a tea house and tea shop, and five stone bridges, set against a wooded backdrop of mature oaks and pines. The initial phase of the garden covers about 3.5 acres of a planned 12-acre site. View map and audio guide stops.

The Chinese Garden is accessible to visitors
with mobility impairments. Wheelchairs are available for use by our
