Japanese Garden Acknowledgment Opportunities

The restoration of the Japanese Garden will be funded entirely through charitable support. Gifts of all sizes are welcome and will be recognized appropriately. We are seeking a total of $6.8 million for this project. Approximately $5 million has been committed as of August 2011.

Donors of $10,000 or more will be recognized on a Japanese Garden donor wall.  Donors of $50,000 or more will also be recognized at additional appropriate locations within the garden.

For more information, please contact Randy Shulman, vice president for advancement at rshulman@huntington.org or 626-405-2293.

To provide for the garden’s continuous care and stewardship, The Huntington will also seek endowment funds to develop and sustain related cultural and educational activities. Additional program endowments will also be sought to help support educational activities ensuring that the Japanese Garden realizes its full potential as a historical and cultural resource.

In addition to regular donor recognition structures at The Huntington, from acknowledgment as a Huntington Successor ($100,000 or more in cumulative giving) to regular listings in printed and electronic lists, donors will be recognized appropriately at the specific program or activity, and in all attendant publications for the duration of that activity.  Donors of endowed funds receive permanent naming rights to the fund and receive regular reports on the annual activities and benefits of their gift.
