The Huntington serves multiple audiences, from scholars to school children to the general public. Nearly 600,000 visitors enjoy the gardens, galleries, and exhibitions each year. A monthly Free Day offers an affordable option for those who might not otherwise be able to visit. School-based tour programs reach 25,000 children per year from a diverse cross-section of Southern California communities. These tours are offered to schools without cost. Over 500 volunteer docents conduct tours for school groups and the public. Every year, approximately 1,600 scholars from a wide range of academic fields conduct research in the collections.
To support these core programs, The Huntington continuously seeks gifts and grants from individuals, foundations, and corporations. Donations also help support the care and maintenance of collections, from cataloging rare books to purchasing plants for the gardens.
Your support can make a difference! Donations in any amount are appreciated. General program support may be made to the following areas: Botanical Gardens, Library, Art Collections, Education, and Research
