European Sculpture

The Huntington houses important collections of European sculpture from the renaissance through the early 20th century. It includes one of the finest collections of 16th- and 17th-century small bronzes in this country featuring Giambologna's celebrated Nessus and Deianira as well as a series of figures by Bathélemy Prieur. Other strengths include 18th-century French sculptures such as works by Jean-Antoine Houdon and Clodion, and 18th- and 19th-century British portrait busts.
