Sabina Zonno, research associate in European art, received her Ph.D. in art history from the University of Padua, Italy. As a specialist in Medieval and Renaissance European art, she has worked in academia for twenty years in Italy and in the United States. She has taught courses at the University of Southern California, California Lutheran University, and the University of Padua, and has been a visiting scholar at UC Berkeley and USC. Her work has been supported by the National Endowment for the Humanities, the Samuel Kress Foundation, the American Philosophical Society, and the International Center of Medieval Art. She first came to The Huntington for a postdoctoral Kress Interpretative Fellowship in 2020 and joined the Huntington Art Museum’s curatorial department in 2021. In addition to researching, documenting, and interpreting the Huntington’s permanent art collections, she also recently curated the exhibition "In Our Time: Prints by R.B. Kitaj," on view in the Huntington Art Gallery until March 4, 2024.
