The Huntington is located near Pasadena in the city of San Marino, 12 miles northeast of downtown Los Angeles. The Huntington has two entrance gates: at Allen Avenue (just south of California Boulevard) and on Oxford Road.

Getting Here
The Huntington is located in a residential area of San Marino. Please plan your transportation options in advance, especially on weekends and during peak visitation periods.
Carpooling & Rideshare (Strongly Encouraged)
Parking is limited and fills quickly on busy days. To ensure a smoother arrival experience, we strongly encourage carpooling or using a rideshare service. Passenger drop‑off and pickup are located near the Admission entry area.
Parking
Parking is free but may reach capacity on weekends, holidays, and peak seasons. Please consider alternative transportation if you’re visiting during these times. There are two entrances to the parking lot: Oxford Road and Allen Avenue.
Bus Parking
School or tour groups arriving by bus must make reservations. Please note that all buses and trucks must use a specified route for entering The Huntington from the north. Violators may be cited.
Directions for Buses and Trucks
There is only one legal truck/bus route to The Huntington from the north. The address for GPS is 1800 Orlando Road. Police may ticket you if you do not follow this route.
Arriving by Bicycle
Bike racks are available between the parking lot and the Admission entry area.
