Volunteers Help Make Plant Sale a Success!

A big thank you to everyone who participated in this year’s Spring Plant Sale.

More than 5,000 people attended the plant sale—a 73% increase over last year’s attendance. It felt great to be back in person, among plant-loving Members and visitors.

The event kicked off on the evening of April 27 with the Society of Fellows’ Spring Plant Sale Preview, and then continued for Members on April 28 and April 29, before opening to the public on April 30. The plant sale raised approximately $250,000 for The Huntington's Botanical division.

We want to express our gratitude to all of the volunteers who helped at the Spring Plant Sale. Whether longtime or one-day volunteers, their help was deeply appreciated. More than 250 volunteers helped as porters, prepared the plants, and answered questions. We could not have done it without their help!

We are also grateful to the more than 200 corporate volunteers who helped with the event. These volunteers represented Capital Group, City National Bank, the Walt Disney Company, Southern California Edison, MATT Construction, Northern Trust, Public Storage, and Wells Fargo.
