Art History Lecture Series: American Art from 1900 to 1950

Join Roy Ritchie, Huntington senior research associate, for a four-part lecture series that examines American art from 1900 to 1950.

This lecture series will cover a range of topics, including such art movements as Modernism, Abstraction, and Regionalism, as well as such significant events as the Armory Show. Additionally, it will explore the influence of World War I and World War II, periods of economic prosperity, and the Great Depression on the art community. This course will start in the era of J.S. Sargent and conclude in the era of J. Pollock.

Registration includes all four sessions and admission to The Huntington.
