PROGRAM SCHEDULE 11 a.m.–2 p.m. | Drop-In Activities
Hands-on Art Making: Create a keepsake—or two—to take home: a lantern-making craft facilitated by our friends from the Chinese American Museum, or an origami branch activity facilitated by The Huntington’s own teen volunteers that is inspired by California-based Japanese artist Mineo Mizuno, whose instillation, Komorebi - light of forest and Thousand Blossoms can be seen in the Huntington Art Gallery.
Musical Performance: Be transported through a performance by celebrated Chinese American composer Nathan Wang of his original composition inspired by the imaginary story of a young Chinese immigrant to California.
Interactive Dance Demonstration: Get your body moving as members of the Blue13 Dance Company lead family members in the popular and exciting Indian dance styles of Bollywood and Bhangra.
Multi-lingual Stories: Enjoy stories read aloud in Mandarin, Japanese, Cantonese, and Korean.
