Camerata Pacifica: Masterworks
Camerata Pacifica’s series continues with a program of old and new at The Huntington.
Heritage masterworks are represented in this program featuring music by Brahms and Mendelssohn, then principal percussionist and audience favorite Ji Hye Jung will present a series of new masterworks. In French Slovenian Vinko Globokar’s ?Corporel, Jung’s instrument will be her own body! In Fertility Rites by the Greek Canadian Christos Hatzis, Jung will play marimba along with audio based on Inuit throat singing—a haunting and powerful close to an unforgettable concert.
