Join printmaker and fiber artist Rachel Curry for a creative family workshop focused on the art of accordion book binding and printing.
Classes
Inspired by The Huntington's 900-year-old book, the Scripture of the Great Flower Ornament of the Buddha, this class provides a hands-on experience for young artists to develop new skills while connecting with history. Participants will take home their own accordion style books filled with colorful handmade prints. Participants are encouraged to visit “Printed in 1085: The Chinese Buddhist Canon from the Song Dynasty” in the Library West Hall following the class.
This class will be held entirely indoors.
Recommended for children ages 5 and up.
Fee includes one child, plus one accompanying adult and all supplies.
Admission to the gardens is included with registration.
