Family Workshop: Rainbow Sock Dyeing

Discover the magic of natural dyeing by transforming a pair of cotton socks into a vibrant canvas.
Classes

Join artist Erin Berkowitz of Berbo Studio for a natural ice-dye workshop. Participants of all ages will create stunning designs with such plants as logwood, pomegranate, and madder root. Each participant will receive a pair of cotton socks to dye with a rainbow palette of blue, purple, yellow, green, red, and orange.

As the ice melts into the socks, take a leisurely nature walk through The Huntington’s Ranch Garden. Berkowitz will guide you through the secrets of natural dyeing, sharing insights into the plants and processes that make this art form so magical.

Recommended for ages 3 and up. Fee includes all materials for one child and one accompanying adult.
