Soler's unique approach is rooted in both horticulture and her theater background, perfect for a project that encompasses the Shakespeare Garden and the beloved Tea Room, the setting for so many treasured memories. She sums up her philosophy of garden design as “a unique practice that is part horticulture, part architecture, and part magic. By combining these three elements, I create vibrant, eclectic spaces for a selective clientele. My gardens are strong, dramatic, dynamic spaces that thrive in the special climate of arid Southern California; they are places for entertaining, playing, relaxing, and dreaming.”
Soler’s plantings and writings have appeared in Metropolitan Home, Sunset, House & Garden, Garden Design, and Martha Stewart Living. Her best-selling book, The Edible Front Yard, was published by Timber Press in 2011.
