Join Shannon McHugh, professor of Renaissance literature and the history of fan culture, and a former Disney tour guide, for a guide-led walk around The Huntington.

This guide-led walk covers the design and creation of immersive spaces, from Henry E. and Arabella Huntington’s gardens to Walt Disney’s theme parks. Exploring the intersection of history, storytelling, and landscape design, this tour traverses the Japanese Garden, Shakespeare Garden, and North Vista, ending at the “Inspiring Walt Disney” exhibition. This two-hour class includes approximately one mile of walking on concrete paths through the gardens with a short restroom break, ending at the exhibition gallery. This class is suitable for ages 16 and older.
