K-12 Educator Saturday Workshop: Examining Plants Up Close

Join Huntington Educators to learn how to engage your K-12 students in close observation of plants and exciting discoveries using a scientific framework.

Learn engagement strategies to encourage your students to collect and interpret information about plants and their environment using a scientific inquiry framework. You'll leave with a classroom activity and related book.

  • This workshop aligns with our curriculum, Plant Needs.
  • Admission to The Huntington is included in the program cost.
  • We recommend you bring comfortable shoes. The workshop involves standing and walking on dirt and concrete paths during a portion of the event.

11 a.m. | Close looking at plants in the Kitchen Garden
11:45 a.m. | Workshop wraps up
