K-12 Educators Saturday Workshop: Mindfulness

Join our Saturday Workshop to learn how to bring mindfulness practices into your K–12 teaching.
Classes

Mindfulness is an opportunity to slow down and focus attention on ourselves, a garden environment, or a work of art. Learn from Lilit Sadoyan of the J. Paul Getty Museum about the practice of mindfulness, and learn breathing and sensory exercises that you can use with your students to support art and socio-emotional learning.

  • This workshop aligns with our curriculum videos Guided Moments.
  • Leave with Sadoyan’s new book and breathing cards you can use to incorporate mindfulness in your classroom.
  • Comfortable shoes are recommended. The workshop involves standing and walking on concrete paths and wooden floors during the garden and gallery visit rotation (12:45–2:30 p.m.).
  • If you have any accessibility needs, please email learning coordinator Kristin Brisbois at kbrisbois@huntington.org.
