Rare Books LA: Pasadena

Rare Books LA: Pasadena welcomes booksellers and bibliophiles from around the world to share their love of books, fine prints, maps, ephemera, and more on Feb. 3–4, 2024, at the Pasadena Convention Center.

In addition to rare books, visitors will see everything from historic maps and original artwork to artists’ books and punk zines. There’s something for everyone, all under one roof.

Rare Books LA is also hosting a series of bookish talks at the event, all included in the price of admission. Among the speakers is Vanessa Wilkie, The Huntington’s William A. Moffett Senior Curator of Medieval Manuscripts & British History and head of Library Curatorial. Wilkie will talk about her new book, A Woman of Influence: The Spectacular Rise of Alice Spencer in Tudor England.

Tickets range from $15 to $25. A special “Booklovers” package for $40 includes a pair of weekend passes to the fair, a limited-edition book bag, and a red rose upon entry for that special someone. A weekender pass to the book fair is $25 and includes a limited-edition book bag and entry to the fair on both days.

Use the ticket link to purchase your tickets, and 100% of the proceeds will be donated to The Huntington!
