Members Summer Evenings return with four very special opportunities to enjoy music and picnicking, including a Members-only KCRW Summer Nights event on August 5. Explore the gardens after hours, relax with a casual meal at 1919 cafe, or bring your picnic basket and dine al fresco on the lawn. Don’t forget your blanket or chair!

Dance the night away to live sets from KCRW DJ Anne Litt and a very special guest DJ set by Mark Speer of Khruangbin. KCRW Members and a guest are invited to this event.

Members at the Contributor level and above are invited to this event and ticket benefits vary by level:

  • Contributor level: 2 Members (free) and 2 guests at $25 each. 4 adults total.
  • Affiliate level: 2 Members (free) and 2 guests at $25 each. 4 adults total.
  • Supporting level: 2 Members (free) and 2 guests at $25 each. 4 adults total.
  • Patron level: 2 Members, 2 free guests, and 2 paid guests at $25 each. 6 adults total.
  • Benefactor level: 2 Members (free), 2 free guests, and 2 paid guests at $25. 6 adults total.
  • Society of Fellows households: 2 Fellows (free), 4 free guests, and 6 paid guests at $25 each.

Members’ and Fellows' children and grandchildren 18 and younger are free. Guests’ children are also free.


Food & Beverages

Outside alcohol will not be permitted. Alcohol will be available for purchase. Members may bring their own picnic baskets, but alcohol must be purchased onsite.

Enjoy in-dining or purchase to-go options in 1919 Cafe, open from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Hot food stations close at 7 p.m., grab & go is available until 7:30 p.m.

Most gardens will be open during Members’ Summer Evenings, as will the Huntington Store. The library, art galleries, The Rose Hills Foundation Conservatory for Botanical Science, and the Helen and Peter Bing Children’s Garden will be closed.
