For the 16th year, the Huntington Library Press will represent The Huntington at the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books. This year, the festival moves from its usual venue at UCLA to the USC campus, south of the 10 Freeway and north of Exposition Park and the Coliseum. The festival runs both weekend days—Saturday, April 30, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday, May 1, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Parking is $10.
For sale at The Huntington's booth, #209 (photographed during festival setup this week at USC), will be books on western history, art, gardens, and cookery. On Saturday from 12:30 to 3 p.m., Bernard and Shirley Kinsey will sign The Kinsey Collection: Where Art and History Intersect. On Sunday from 1 to 2 p.m., Tom Sitton will sign Grand Ventures: The Banning Family and the Shaping of Southern California.
All are offered at discount prices throughout the festival. A special pack of four garden books is also available via The Huntington's website at $50.
Susan Green is publications director at The Huntington.
