Evening for Educators: Combining Art and Nature Like Artist Mineo Mizuno (Grades 6–12)

Discover works of art inspired by nature and connect with peers after hours!

Explore the powerful artworks of California-based Japanese American artist Mineo Mizuno, whose works highlight the intersections of nature, science, and art. In this after-hours workshop, explore Mizuno’s new sculpture, Homage to Nature, which explores the fragility of Earth’s ecosystem. Education staff will lead a guided viewing using a See-Think-Do framework and a related artmaking activity that can be taken back to the classroom.
