Evening for Educators: Combining Art and Nature Like Artist Mineo Mizuno (Grades K–5)

Explore the powerful artworks of California-based Japanese American artist Mineo Mizuno, whose works highlight the intersections of nature, science, and art. In this after-hours workshop, explore Mizuno’s new sculpture, Homage to Nature, which explores the fragility of Earth’s ecosystem. Education staff will lead a guided viewing using a See-Think-Do framework and a related artmaking activity that can be taken back to the classroom.

- We recommend wearing comfortable shoes. A portion of the workshop involves standing and walking on wood and concrete paths.
