The children in Sonia Sotomayor’s book make up a diverse community, all working for the common goal of creating a community garden. What can you do to contribute to your community? Talk to friends and family members to see what your community would like to do together and take action. It can be as simple as cleaning up trash in your schoolyard, helping elders in your neighborhood or helping someone you know with their homework.
