Join Huntington Library staff for an introduction to the creation and care of daguerreotypes, an early photographic process that’s increasingly popular today as an artistic medium.

Attendees will hear how daguerreotypes are made and what makes them unique, see examples of historic and contemporary daguerreotypes in The Huntington’s collections, and learn about what’s involved in cataloging and caring for them.
